There’s a new band in town…
137 is Jim Barr (yes that’s my husband and Thought Forms / Get The Blessing bass player / producer), Adrian Utley, Larry Stabbins and Sebastian Rochford. Their debut album “Strangeness Oscillation” is available to pre-order today! On LP, CD and of course, digitally.
You can have a listen to the first track (“First Idea Part One”, now there’s a title that does what it says on the tin) here - or on the streaming platform of your choice.
I haven’t yet met Larry but I’d head a lot about him, this mysterious sax player who lived on a boat. It’s always nice to be asked to do a remix or rework / collaborate on something, even if it is a big responsibility not to ruin somebody’s song. Of all the remixy/reimagine type things I’ve been asked to do in the past - this is my favourite :
I was asked to do a “version” / collaborate on of a Get The Blessing track and chose Viking Death Moped. (It says ‘Thought Forms mix’ but don’t be fooled, it is just me.)
