Yesterday, I went into my place of work, Invada HQ, to take some photos of my dear friend Suvi-Eeva Äikäs.
I first met Suvi in 2019, I think when she was working on the score for the TV show DEVS at Invada Studios. (One of the fun things about working at Invada is that on occasion I will get called into the back to join in with the “cult choir” du jour - be it happy-clappy style Fleetwood Mac covers or summoning demons in heavy breathing rituals… Definitely breaks up the day.)
Suvi is from Finland, but has been living in Bristol for a while - came here to study music production and has since been solidly working her ass off as a composer. She’s extremely talented and extremely lovely.
I haven’t seen the film yet (I need to work my self up to scary things these days) but if you’re up for something unsettling then you can check out Suvi’s score for “Baghead”, which is out today on Invada Records :
